Coming out of lockdown and going back to work is going to be a big lifestyle shock for most of us. Many of us have got into the habit of taking the time we would save commuting to make healthy, nourishing lunches whilst working from home and having the ability to plan what we eat and control our diets a little more than usual.

As our lifestyles and daily habits begin to change again, we want to help you make sure that you aren’t compromising on nutrition and we have curated a list of places to visit for a quick lunch stop around the Tottenham Court Road area.

Crussh Fit Food & Juice Bar

You can eat in or takeaway at Crussh and enjoy salads and health pots, toasties, sandwiches and raw juices, boosters and shots. Crussh are on a mission to improve the nation’s wellbeing through offering great-tasting, healthy food. 70% of their range is vegetarian and 45% is vegan. Looking after customers is their top priority so they also label any allergens and ingredients clearly on each item.

We highly recommend trying their ‘Incredible Bulk’ smoothie which is a delicious blend of coconut milk, vanilla plant protein, spinach, pineapple, banana and lime. Perfect for a quick energy boost on-the-go!

Leon

A classic lunch spot but for good reason. Aiming to ‘shape the future of fast food’, Leon offers charismatic flavour combinations along with convenience to customers all over the UK. They believe that fast food should also be good food, and that is exactly what they offer. Convenience and taste all in one. You can grab all sorts from rice boxes to burgers and of course, their famous waffle fries. Leon also offers delicious coffee, smoothies, juices and shakes. So pay them a visit and see what lovely lunches they have on offer.

Island Poké

Owning the title of London’s best Poké, this is definitely worth a visit on your lunch break. Inspired by the tropical taste of Hawai’i, the bowls are always fresh and you can either grab one of their house bowls or customise your own. In total, they offer over 50,000 delicious combinations, so you can really make it your own.

Island Poké are also passionate about sustainability and conscious living, and the founder, James, oversees every touchpoint of the supply chain. However, if you’re after a plant-based bowl or just fancy trying something new, they are proud pioneers of the first vegan tuna in Europe.

Veggie Pret

When in doubt, there is always Pret! After making headlines with their first veggie Pret in 2016 as a pop-up experiment, they’ve opened many more since due to its huge success. Whether you’re 100% plant-based, vegan, veggie or have the odd meat-free day, veggie Pret will have exactly what you’re looking for on your lunch break.

With all of the classic favourites veganised and brand new recipes on offer, you’ll always find a huge selection of sandwiches, salads, baguettes and of course their new vegan chilli enchilada which is the perfect lunch-time pick me up!

The Good Egg

An independent, all-day restaurant serving up tasty dishes inspired by flavours from the Middle East. Using house-smoked meats, fresh produce and freshly baked bread every day, you can guarantee a hearty meal at The Good Egg. You can dine in if you have the time, or takeaway and eat on-the-go.

If you’re looking for something warm, we recommend opting for the Shakshuka, an award-winning brunch favourite. For something a bit lighter, the Vegan Kofta is a great option for a warm sunny day.
